Group or Ideology? Either Way, Dems Have to Address the Problem

The Dems can’t seem to figure out how they want to deal with one of the biggest problems plaguing the nation: Antifa. Is it a group or is it an ideology? Perhaps, it’s both. Either way, the people who identify themselves as part of Antifa are tearing the nation apart.

Kevin McCarthy, the House Minority Leader, is ready to call Joe Biden out on his claim that Antifa isn’t a group. Okay, then what is on the streets, rioting and stirring up trouble at every protest around the country? Because, as McCarthy and the rest of the country can see, there are organized groups of people identifying that they are with Antifa.

So, even if it is an ideology or a way of thinking, it has evolved to the point that people are adopting the mentality and forming groups. These groups are targeting peaceful protests and causing violence. They’re not opposed to beating cops, taking baseball bats to cars passing by, and even shoving innocent people to the ground.

President Trump has already acknowledged how he deems KKK and Antifa, identifying that they will be designated as terrorist organizations. This means that Trump acknowledges that Antifa is a threat and that it’s a lot more than an idea.

Biden said that he was referring to a remark that FBI Director Christopher Wray said, calling Antifa “a movement or an ideology.” Trump has responded to Wray by blaming the FBI for their inability to find their funding source. It is the funding that would allow the group to be an actual group as opposed to an idea.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is asking her supporters to fund a bailout for those protesting in Minnesota. McCarthy has heavily criticized Harris for the “Minnesota Freedom Fund,” especially since at least $210,000 from the fund was used to bail out the rioters responsible for civil unrest following the death of George Floyd.

The problem is that if Antifa is categorized as a group, the Dems have to face it. They have to address it and deal with it. If they keep it as an idea, they think that they can somehow avoid it. However, the issue is getting louder and it’s beginning to bang on their front door.

In Los Angeles, two sheriff deputies were shot in September by those who are believed to be part of Antifa. Considering Kamala Harris is from California and she was the attorney general, she should have visited them. She should have talked to them and committed to making sure they knew she was going to do something about the violence erupting in the streets of LA and around the country.

McCarthy has said, “I know she went to California right after that, I did not hear of her visiting those two.” And why not? Why shouldn’t she go to visit them? If she’s going to be the vice president of the country, she’s going to have to get used to making uncomfortable visits. Perhaps she feels that she let them down – and she did.

It’s the same as Biden saying that he doesn’t hold public office as a response to Trump calling him out during the first presidential debate. Trump asked why Biden hasn’t personally called the mayors in Seattle or Portland to tell them to accept federal aid and be done with it.

The Dems want the chaos. They need chaos. It’s why they’re not too quick to condemn any of it. If it were up to them, they would continue to categorize Antifa as an idea so that they don’t have to do anything with it.

Luckily, the GOP is in control. McCarthy and others are supporting Trump’s plan to designate the group as a terrorist organization, as was announced at the end of September. Maybe now, we can start holding more of these thugs accountable for the destruction of America.
