All across the country, Joe Biden stood at podiums promising to make American life better. He promised to fix the economy and make it easier for Americans to afford day-to-day expenses.
Upon election and inauguration, Biden has had plenty of opportunities to prove that he wasn’t full of empty promises. However, the only thing he has managed to prove is that he is a pushover with the far left.
With the use of his trusty pen, Biden has managed to walk back a significant number of policies that were put into place by former Pres. Donald Trump. This includes the Keystone XL pipeline project, which was necessary to establish oil independence.
All of the decisions Biden makes proves that he is not interested in helping Americans. It’s as if he wants us to be dependent on other countries.
Many people choose to judge a president based on current gas prices. Throughout history, gas prices would go up or down based on what the president was doing for the country.
Gas prices have been on the rise for the past several weeks, and the national average for a gallon of gas is close to three dollars.
AAA spokesperson Jeanette McGee explained that crude oil prices are on the rise. She is expecting to see the national average close to $2.90 by spring. The national average hasn’t been this high since May 2018 – and no one wants to see the prices go up any further.
There are plenty of reasons why gas prices are spiking. Not only is there a surge in crude oil prices but also a decrease in refinery utilization. There is also a higher demand for gas right now as many people are finally getting back to work.
In the past week, crude oil prices jumped more than two dollars per barrel of oil, which is a substantial jump. It causes the barrels to be priced at around $66, a price that hasn’t been seen in nearly 2 years.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries’ and their allies made a decision to only increase production slightly for the month of April, which means that there is not enough gas being made to meet the demand. With limited supply and high demand, the prices have no place to go but up.
Of course, Joe Biden could have done something to help with all of this. He could have allowed the pipeline project to continue on. We could have slowly worked toward gaining independence, but instead, he has made us more dependent.
If Pres. Biden continues to make bad decisions for America, gas prices could be on the rise for the next several months.
AAA has already estimated that the national average for a gallon of gas is currently sitting at $2.77. This is $0.40 higher than it was a year ago when Pres. Trump was in office.
Any member of the GOP could have predicted this. They knew that prices were going to go up in the Biden administration because of the bad decisions they continuously make.
Many people still remember the high gas prices that were common throughout the Obama administration. In May 2012, for example, the average price for a gallon of gas was $3.79.
There is no way that gas should be allowed to get that high ever again. Yet, Democrats will have no problem allowing it because it places greater dependence on the government. If they can suddenly start to make things more expensive, more people will depend on them. It is one of the ways that they plan on showing how socialism can be the best solution for us.
People are already starting to notice the more expensive fill-ups at gas stations around the country. It’s only a matter of time before Biden has to answer for his bad decisions. The only problem is – will he ever actually take the podium to answer these questions?
