In a First for America, Biden EPA Arrests a Man for Smuggling Greenhouse Gases into the US

In a sign of just how radically Joe Biden’s handlers are transforming America, a working-class man has been arrested for allegedly smuggling “greenhouse gases” into the United States. This is the first arrest of its kind in American history. The poor guy faces 45 years in prison for supposedly increasing the likelihood of global warming, which is a fake problem. Here’s the worst part. The man could be imprisoned for life even though he’s not been accused of breaking a real law.

The “criminal suspect” is a working-class contractor from California named Michael Hart. While he was on a job in Mexico, he noticed that refrigerator chemicals are much cheaper down there. These chemicals, known as hydrofluorocarbons, are the juice that makes your refrigerator work. They’re the chemical that makes Western civilization possible. Without hydrofluorocarbons, millions of people would die from food poisoning next week.

Michael Hart figured he would buy some refrigerator chemicals while he was in Mexico, haul them home to California, and sell them to some of his contractor friends in the refrigerator repair business for a little profit. He’d make a little extra money off the deal, and his friends would get a discount compared to paying for the fridge chemicals elsewhere. So, Hart loaded the fridge chemicals in the back of his truck and drove home to San Diego.

Hart was stopped at the border. Customs officials looked over the fridge chemicals, which were under a tarp in the back of his truck, and waved him through. After all, it would be literally insane for the chemicals in refrigerators to be outlawed, right?

Unbeknownst to Michael Hart and almost everyone else in America, it is now illegal to haul refrigerator chemicals into the United States without the express written permission of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This is according to a new rule that the EPA made up out of thin air.

The Biden regime’s US Attorney Tara McGrath, who doesn’t look like she goes on very many dates, was extremely proud of herself when she announced Michael Hart’s arrest.

The good news is that the federal government has finally arrested someone for smuggling an illegal material across the US-Mexico border. The bad news is that it was an American with refrigerator chemicals.

“This is the first time the Department of Justice is prosecuting someone for illegally importing greenhouse gases, and it will not be the last,” said US Attorney McGrath, who has the jaw structure of a man. “We are using every means possible to protect our planet from the harm caused by toxic pollutants, including bringing criminal charges.”

These people are ridiculous. And dangerous.

They’re protecting America from the completely fictional problem of greenhouse gases. Sorry if you get gang-raped by a pack of feral illegal aliens with syphilis. They’re just too busy prosecuting “climate criminals.”

Michael Hart has been charged with 13 crimes including conspiracy, sale of prohibited materials, and illegal importation. If convicted on all charges, he faces 45 years in prison and $750,000 in fines.

Take that, working-class American guy!

Congress has passed a law banning the importation of hydrofluorocarbons, but that law does not go into effect until January 1, 2025. Michael Hart probably figured what he was doing was legal, since that law doesn’t apply until next year. But now he faces 45 years in prison for breaking a rule that was made up by a federal agency, which no one knew was against the rules.
