LGBT Activists Oppose CA Bill That Would Make Child Sex Trafficking a Felony

The California legislature is debating a bill that would elevate soliciting a child for sex from a misdemeanor to a felony. That should be a slam dunk, right? Who could oppose protecting children from being trafficked that way? As it turns out, a gaggle of people from the LGBT community showed up to testify in objection to Senate Bill 1414. They’re claiming that harsher penalties for child trafficking would disproportionately impact the gay community. For once, this is a refreshing bit of honesty about who and what the LGBT community really is.

Under current California law, soliciting a child for sex carries a maximum sentence of up to one year in a county jail and a $10,000 fine. SB 1414 would elevate those penalties to four years in a real prison and a $25,000 fine. Convicted people would also be placed on the state’s sex offender registry. That is still far less than a normal, mentally healthy adult would support for a child rapist, but it’s a step in the right direction for California.

According to the LGBT (plus a bunch of additional meaningless letters and symbols) activists objecting to the bill, it’s a bad thing to impose harsher penalties on people who use children for sex. One of the weirdoes in the hearing stated that harsher penalties would especially hit the LGBT community hard. That’s not as strong an argument as they think it is.

Honestly, the testimony of these people was a gold mine of material in favor of the argument that homosexuality should be recriminalized.

“Studies have shown that LGBTQ people, particularly gay and transgendered individuals, are more likely to be charged with sex offenses compared to their heterosexual counterparts,” said one activist under oath. “For instance, LGBTQ individuals are nine times more likely to be charged with sodomy.”

Who could have guessed that? Does anyone think they can solve that big mystery? Can anyone hazard a guess as to why gays and transgenders are more likely to be convicted of violent sex crimes?

Members of the California ACLU, the San Francisco Public Defender Office, and other public offices and non-profits all voiced opposition to harsher penalties for using children for sex. We should not be shocked that so many liberals in California are in favor of child rape. It was just four years ago that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a bill into law that reduced the penalties for gay people who rape children.

Ever since Newsom signed the bill into law, gay men who commit anal rape against teenage boys as young as 14 no longer have to register as sex offenders once they get out of jail. Just as a quick reminder, Gavin Newsom would like to become the Democrats’ nominee to be the next President of the United States.

Libs of TikTok found some of the footage of the LGBT testimony in favor of sex with children and posted it on X/Twitter this week. Here it is:
