Someone at CNN is Probably Getting Fired Over This Story–They Just Picked Apart A Democrat and Exposed Her Tweets

CNN just published a deep dive into deleted tweets from Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow, who’s running for the U.S. Senate. The tweets apparently show her trashing the exact voters she now desperately needs to win over. When the Democrat Protection Network starts publishing oppo research on Democrats, you know the tweets must be radioactive.

Whoa. Somebody at CNN must have missed the memo about protecting the team at all costs.

Here’s the situation. McMorrow is one of the Democrats lining up to run for Senate in Michigan, and she’s been positioning herself as a champion of the working class, a fighter for regular Americans, a voice for the people. All the usual branding Democrats slap on like bumper stickers. But it turns out that before she needed those regular Americans’ votes, she had some rather colorful opinions about them — opinions she thought she could scrub from the internet by hitting delete.

(Spoiler alert: the internet is forever, sweetheart.)

The deleted tweets reportedly show McMorrow disparaging the very Americans she’s now courting for votes. We’re talking about the kind of coastal-elite contempt that Democrats usually save for private fundraisers — remember Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” moment? Same energy, except McMorrow was dumb enough to put it in writing on a public platform.

And here’s where it gets beautiful. This wasn’t uncovered by the RNC. It wasn’t dug up by a conservative outlet. It wasn’t leaked by a Republican operative. CNN did this. CNN sent reporters to comb through archived tweets, found the embarrassing ones McMorrow deleted, and published them for the whole world to see.

Let’s pause and appreciate what’s happening here. The network that spent four years calling Trump a Russian asset, the network that hired Andrew McCabe after he was fired from the FBI for lying, the network that couldn’t find a single negative story about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline until it was too late — THAT network decided to do actual journalism. On a Democrat. In a Senate race.

You know what that tells us? It tells us the Democrat establishment has already picked their preferred candidate in Michigan, and it’s not McMorrow. This is how the machine works. When they want you gone, suddenly the media remembers how to investigate Democrats. When you’re useful, you’re “historic” and “brave.” When you’re in the way, CNN starts digging through your old tweets like a jealous ex-girlfriend going through your phone.

McMorrow has been one of those Democrats who went viral a few years back for some floor speech about Republicans being monsters — the usual hysterical nonsense that gets you a million retweets from blue-check liberals. She rode that wave into “rising star” status. But rising stars in the Democrat Party have a funny habit of crashing back to earth when the party bosses decide someone else gets the seat.

The real story isn’t even the tweets themselves — although they’re apparently bad enough that CNN’s own reporting suggests they “could tank her campaign.” The real story is the system. Democrats have built an entire media infrastructure designed to protect their candidates and destroy ours. We’ve watched it operate for decades. So when that same machine turns its guns on one of its own, it means one of two things: either the tweets are so catastrophically bad that even CNN couldn’t justify burying them, or McMorrow crossed somebody important in the party.

Either way, we win.

Because here’s the thing about deleted tweets — they don’t just show what a politician said. They show what a politician BELIEVES but knows they can’t say out loud anymore. Deleting them isn’t an apology. It’s a confession that you know your real opinions are politically toxic. McMorrow didn’t delete those tweets because she changed her mind. She deleted them because she’s running for Senate and she needs votes from the people she was trashing.

Welcome to clown world, where a Michigan Democrat’s biggest enemy isn’t the Republican Party — it’s her own Twitter archive and the network that was supposed to be on her side.

We’d almost feel bad for her, except she spent years cheerfully participating in the same media machine that’s now chewing her up. When you build a monster to destroy your enemies, don’t act surprised when it gets hungry and you’re the closest meal.

Grab the popcorn, Michigan. This primary is about to get very entertaining.
