In his latest act of treason against the United States, Joe Biden is selling off more of the nation’s emergency gasoline reserves. The Energy Department made the announcement Tuesday and explicitly said that the reason for the sudden sale is to drive gas prices down before the election. If Congress doesn’t impeach Joe Biden for this immediately, we deserve what’s coming next. This isn’t just about gas prices or the 2024 election. This is the worst national security threat that anyone in the White House has ever opened our country up to.
Biden will be flooding the market with 1 million barrels of gasoline from the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve. These emergency stores of gas are part of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. This specific emergency reserve was created in the wake of Hurricane Sandy after gasoline supplies were severely disrupted in the New York City area.
The gasoline is for national emergencies, and while Joe Biden’s failing poll numbers might seem like an emergency to his campaign, they’re really not. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm specifically said during the announcement that Biden is doing this to lower gas prices over the summer. It’s another vote-buying scheme.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) didn’t mince any words at the announcement. He said the Biden regime is “yet again using America’s emergency fuel reserves to cover for his disastrous inflationary policies in an election year.”
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) added that the reserves are for national emergencies and not to hide Biden’s failed economic policies from the American people.
This is just the beginning of this insanity, however. The Biden regime plans to completely drain the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve before the end of the year. This is the same cynical ploy that these criminals used before the 2022 midterms when it appeared that Democrats were going to get crushed in a red wave.
Biden started selling off the oil in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve by the tanker to reduce gas prices here in America. He even shipped tankers full of oil to China and sold it to them. Following that brilliant move, oil prices skyrocketed even further because of Biden’s energy policies—and the regime was forced to admit that it couldn’t refill the reserves now!
The Strategic Petroleum Reserve was created back in 1975 in response to volatility in the oil-rich Middle East. America was vulnerable in those days because most of our oil was imported from that part of the world. Any major disruption to the oil supply ran the risk of crippling the American economy. If a major war should break out, America would be ready for it because of our national reserves.
But not anymore!
Joe Biden has seen to it that America is weaker now than we have been since the 1970s—and he plans to make us weaker before the end of the year.
The infuriating thing about this is that the emergency oil and gas reserves are not Joe Biden’s to sell or tap into. They belong to America as part of our overall readiness strategy. The reserves are not intended as a stopgap for Joe Biden’s plummeting poll numbers.
The foreign policy expertise of Team Biden has been so disastrous that we could end up needing those emergency reserves sooner rather than later. Just look at how easily the Houthis from Yemen have disrupted shipping in the Red Sea. But hey, look on the bright side! At least gas prices will be stabilized for a few months to help Joe Biden win a second term in office.
